One afternoon in early fall, we took a trip to the Kent County Humane Society to visit the animals and take a few photos. I was immersed in preparing for a solo portrait show, featuring people of Kent County and their dogs, and wanted to do a portrait of one the animals from KCHS to bring attention to the animals that need help and the good people who run the shelter. We entered the kitten room, and started opening cages...not a great idea, but a lot of fun. The kittens sprang out and started climbing, jumping and crawling everywhere all at once. One little kitten stopped long enough from me to squeeze a few frames off that I could later work from. We named him "Skitters." This portrait has been donated to the KCHS.
